About this event

We will ride the El Dorado Trail, starting on Old Depot Road. Take Hiwy 50 to Missouri Flat Road, turn right, follow to Old Depot Road. Turn Left on Old Depot Road. Because of bridge construction, we must start riding from here. You can park on either side of Old Depot Rd, just not between the no parking red signs. There is enough parking for us. We will ride up to Placerville and continue up to Camino. This is a beautiful ride, ebikes, no problem, elevation gain is 2000feet. We had a couple of very strong riders last time and they were out in front of some of us on bikes without electric assistance,
but don't try this unless you are confident in being able to ride the 2000feet up, without electric assistance. After we do this part of the ride, we will load our bikes, make a left on Missouri Flat Road, drive about a mile to Pleasant Valley Road, turn right, continue past Poor Reds about 60 Feet, turn right on Oriental Street. Go straight at the T do not take the right. Follow Oriental to the end, a short distance, turn left, and park at the start of the El Dorado Trail. You will see the RR tracks. We will ride the two miles we missed because of bridge construction, and return for a bbq lunch at Poor Reds. We had to revise our instructions because of the bridge. Bud and I rode this trail today and we had to rewrite this event instructions.
