This interesting and protected backwater is one of my favorite paddle destinations, and the lake is just 7 ft below capacity, so we should be able to meander through the trees and rushes.
Brown’s Ravine (Folsom Lake): Just inside the entrance gate there’s a dirt road down to the water where we launch and park. Please plan to get your bottom wet at 9:30. Temperature forecast is pleasant with 4-5 mph breeze. State parks pass or $10 gets you in.
Brown’s Ravine Road turns off Green Valley Road between Sophia Parkway and Francisco Blvd, and has a traffic signal. 661 Green Valley Road, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762 MAY be the street address. (Officially, there is only a P.O. Box)
