The road to Beek’s Bight is finally open after about 3 years, so let’s launch at 10 a.m. Forecast is partly cloudy, 60 deg and 4 mph wind, which is expected to decrease.
Lunch after at Susie’s Café, corner of Douglas and Auburn-Folsom Road in a shopping plaza for those who wish. Good salads and sandwiches.
Where is Beek’s Bight? It is the LAST parking lot (about 4 miles from the gate) in the Folsom Lake Granite Bay complex, which is located at the very end of Douglas Blvd. Once inside the Granite Bay entrance, keep going straight—there are brown direction signs to guide you. Beek’s Bight is next to the bottom of the list on the signs.
