Meet 9:30, start 9:45 at Scott’s Seafood on the River, 4800 Riverside Blvd (park at the far north end of the parking lot where the bike trail begins). We’ll head north on the Sacramento River Bike trail three miles to Old Sacramento for a restroom stop, then onto Garden Highway for a mile until we intersect with another bike trail to Witter Ranch Park (with restrooms). On the way back, we’ll ride up R Street, gawk at the murals and artwork, and have lunch at 11:30 at Mas Tacos, which offers “untraditional” tacos ranging from pork belly to duck confit (15th & R Streets). To get to Scotts, take I-5 south, exit Seamas Ave., right onto Riverside, & continue north to Scotts (you’ll see it up on the levee). 22 miles RT; flat terrain. Tom Miner: 916-204-8021.
