49er Ski Club COVID-19 Policy

The 49er Ski Club highly recommends that all attendees at club events are vaccinated and boosted in accordance with CDC and California Department of Public Health recommendations. Please DO NOT participate in a club event IF:

  1.  you have been exposed to COVID-19 and are in a quarantine period, or
  2. you are experiencing any COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms such as fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, recent loss of taste or smell, sore throat, nasal congestion, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

The weather forecast is for clearing by 9 a.m. Wednesday, with a 5-6 mph breeze. Tom has offered to lead a paddle up the Mokolumne River. The launch site is at Cosumnes River Preserve, but instead of going up the Cosumnes, we’ll head the other direction into the Moke. Please do your best to arrive in time to be in the water at 9:30. Be sure to bring your kayak cart, and if you have an extra to share it would be appreciated. According to the website, the Visitor’s Center is open but it does not mention loaner carts. <br />Bring along a picnic lunch to eat on the shady deck at the Visitor’s Center after we get out of the water. The restrooms are open. <br />Directions: Head South on I-5; exit at Twin Cities Road and go east to Franklin Blvd; or from southbound Hwy 99, take Twin Cities Road west and turn south on Franklin The Visitor’s Center parking lot will be on your left at 13501 Franklin Blvd., Galt. Phone 916-684-2816. <br /><br />Be sure to register so you won’t be left at the dock.
