We haven’t been to Lodi Lake yet this season, and the weather finally appears cooperative. Let’s launch at 10 a.m. to avoid the morning rush-hour traffic. It’s a good idea to take a little snack and plenty of water in your boat.
DIRECTIONS: South on Hwy 99 to Lodi, take the TURNER RD EXIT. (Exit 267A). This exit ramp loops around 180 degrees to Turner Road. Go left on Turner Rd. 1.7 miles. The entrance is on your right, just past the Ham Road traffic signal. PAY FIRST: Straight ahead of the entry, there’s a pay station, fee is $5. Then drive to your right around the lake to a parking lot, restroom, and launch ramp.
Don’t use the website address. It will guide you to the park office, which is another mile or so beyond the park.
Take along a picnic lunch to eat at a shady picnic table after getting out of the water.
As usual, please register so you won’t be left behind at the ramp. (My back has not yet healed, so I’ll once again be begging for help with my boat. And a great big thank you to everyone who assisted me so graciously last week.)
