Plan to be in the water at 10:00 for a nice paddle from Willow Creek on Lake Natoma. Weather forecast for high 60’s at 10 rising to 78 at noon. Sounds pretty nice except that those darned winds will be with us once again: 6-9 mph from the SSE, so the near shore should offer some protection.

The website shows an address of 13599 Folsom Blvd., Folsom, CA. The entrance is from Folsom Blvd. southbound ONLY, so from Hwy 50 you must go to the traffic signal at Blue Ravine Road and make a U-turn—the entrance will then be before you reach the traffic signal at Iron Point Rd. There is a sign that is somewhat obscured by vegetation. For those interested in lunch, Dos Coyotes and LaBou are in the shopping center at Blue Ravine Road, and the patio is dog friendly; the Old Spaghetti Factory at Hazel is another option (no outdoor seating).

State parks pass or $10 at the iron ranger.
