About this event

Well, this summer has to go down as record-breaking for the most windy Wednesdays. We’ll have 5-6 mph wind at Lake Natoma, but that’s less than any other place I checked, and it’s predicted to be a south wind, so Black Miner’s Bar might have some protection along the south side. Let’s get in the water at 9:30 and enjoy good company and lots of core exercise!

Black Miner’s Bar (formerly Negro Bar) on Lake Natoma. The entrance is from Greenback Lane just west of the highway bridge on Folsom Blvd. Please allow time for parking in the lot above the launch ramp after unloading your boat. It’s a State Park, so use your pass or have $10 handy at the kiosk when you drive in.

For first-timers: drive across the bike path, angling to the right-hand side of the large parking lot where you’ll see the road down to the launch ramp. Don’t take the vehicle road that runs along the bike path.

For those interested, Coffee Republic is a nice place for lunch with outdoor, dog-friendly seating, very close by at 6601 Folsom-Auburn Road.

If you let us know you’re coming you won’t be left at the launch ramp.
