49er Ski Club COVID-19 Policy

COVID-19 transmission has increased substantially due to the spread of the delta variant and presents a major risk to the health of unvaccinated individuals. None of us want to be responsible for the preventable illness or death of a friend. As a result, all attendees at in-person 49er Ski Club events must be vaccinated and be prepared to show proof of vaccination. Masks are required for all indoor events and are recommended for outdoor events in close contact with others. Additionally, please DO NOT participate in the event IF:

  1. you have been exposed to COVID-19 and are in a quarantine period, or
  2. you are experiencing any COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms such as fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, recent loss of taste or smell, sore throat, nasal congestion, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Let’s change things up a bit and meet at Nimbus Flat (Lake Natoma, near the Aquatic Center) at 4:00 p.m. for an afternoon paddle and potluck afterwards. At this time the forecast indicates breezy conditions, but we can hang out in the shelter of the dredger ponds if necessary. Plan to be in the water at 4:30, launching from the grassy area across from the Aquatic Center. After loading our boats, we’ll drive to the next parking lot where there is a large picnic area.

I will bring plates, napkins and plastic utensils. Please bring food to share and a serving utensil. Bring your own drink, and remember alcohol isn’t permitted.

State park pass or $10 entry fee. The park closes at 9 p.m.
